The Second Life

I had a week full of reminders that we only have one; a family friend’s child was killed in a car accident, a well loved and well respected colleague collapsed and died while working, and someone near and dear to me was the victim of a violent crime but luckily lost only his wallet.

Life is fragile. This is easy to forget when we are barreling through our days like locomotives, but it only takes one moment to skip the tracks and have our whole world change.

Living each day on purpose is the only insulation we have against the fates… so don’t wait until tomorrow to begin living that second life.
