Turn your face toward the sun and the shadows fall behind you…’
Yesterday was the Summer Solstice…. As day turned into evening I was exhausted from the 6 hour long car ride that had followed our time away in the forest. I wanted nothing more than to crawl into bed and sleep- but I pushed myself to instead honor this new season with as much energy as I could muster. I know that in my own life, when I put in extra effort toward the universe, it always puts the extra effort into me as well.
I lit a fire in our outdoor fireplace and made a solstice energy mandala out of flowers and fruits to symbolize the colors and energy of the sun. It’s a way to acknowledge and pay tribute to the life giving energy that the sun permeates our planet with daily.
The Summer Solstice is the perfect time to ask the universe to empower us and to move us forward in whatever hopes and dreams we have planted for our future….
