One by One

Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you. ~Mother Teresa

Yesterday I received a message from an Rx reader that truly touched my soul. It was in response to the post I shared yesterday that ended with a reminder that the Universe is always behind us whispering “I’ve got you. I’ve got you.’

Her message read verbatim, ‘Today’s blog was exceptional. They ALL are but this one buckled me. Yesterday I jumped out of an airplane at 20,000 feet. My tandem ‘angel’ said those exact words, ‘ I’ve got you… I’ve got you.” … and then to read them again in today’s RX… the enormity of those words were not lost on me in regards to the rest of my life.’

The fact that her jumping partner spoke the same words to her on Monday, that appeared here at Rx for the Soul on Tuesday morning made me soar at 20,000 feet right along with her.

If my words touched no one else, the fact that they touched her – just this one person, deeply…. this is enough for me. Because as Mother Teresa reminds us, it is not about the numbers…. it’s about jumping tandem, with whoever is nearest to you.
