‘Blowing out someone else’s candle does not make yours burn any brighter.’
This is such an important concept to remember. We all have those moments in life when we are tempted to blow someone else’s candle out. Sometimes we have been hurt and retaliation seems like a fair response. Fair or not, when we intentionally take some one else’s light away, in the big picture, the only thing we have accomplished is feeding the darkness that we all fight against. The simple moral to this story is that we cannot take another’s light away and not have our own world grow darker because of it.
