Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.
These words are my medicine right now. I have been filled with angst for the last few weeks as I try to balance my future aspirations with the real time demands that life keeps delivering. Remembering how far I have come helps soothe my anxiousness, and realizing that I am not where I used to be gives me a sense of forward movement.
Tuck these words away in your mind for a day when you feel like life is in a holding pattern – and remember there is no such thing. We live in a dynamic universe that is constantly transforming… whether we think so or not we are transforming right along with it.
