Lasting Impression

One of the current known truths of this world is that our reality is composed not of solid matter- but of subatomic matter that is vibrating in a way that produces the subjective experience of  reality. Sounds so complicated, but its just not. When we think, feel, speak, or find any other way to ’emit’ a vibration, the subatomic matter around us will form around that vibration. Think of it this way- the invisible universe around us is like memory foam- and our thoughts, feelings, and words are the equivalent of pressing into that memory foam. As soon as we ‘press in’, we leave an impression in the memory foam and the universe rushes in to fill that space.

I got to enjoy a perfect experience of this on Sunday night. I had enjoyed a very happy love filled day with my family, and as the afternoon waned into evening, I spent some quiet time snuggling with my youngest son. It was Mother’s Day and his seven year old self had been very emotionally accommodating as can be evidenced in this sweet photo that was snapped…

Our snuggle time ended with me retreating to one last mother’s day perk; a long, hot shower. While I let the water stream over me I relived, in my mind, the sweet day that had just been mine. It is fair to say that I was in a very strong space of love and gratitude when I finally turned the shower off and ended my liquid meditation.

As I stood in the steamy bay of our shower stall and began to dry off I was stopped short by a beautiful reflection of my thoughts that had positioned itself boldly on the tile floor beneath me. It was not small- about the size of my closed fist, and it was strong and perfect. I smiled at the eloquence of the universe…. the thoughts of love I had just held for my husband and children had made a perfect impression on that universal memory foam I so firmly believe in; and  as soon as I ‘laid down the mold’ the universe rushed in and filled it. Some may have mistaken it for a water drop- I knew it was something more. To me it was a direct reflection of love- mine for my family, and theirs for me…

It IS an interactive universe….and the sooner you start your conversation with the Universe, the sooner the Universe will start its conversation with you <3
