Thinking

‘Thinking is difficult. That is why most people judge.’ Carl Gustav Jung

This statement seems a bit humorous and first glance- but really it is anything but.  Allowing ourselves to really think about something IS difficult. Because there is always more to see, and even more importantly- there is always a reflection of ourselves in that which we judge.

Although standing in judgment might give the illusion of power, in reality there is no more vulnerable stance we can take- because judgment thrown out toward another, always circles round to find its way back toward the sender.

Next time you are tempted to judge, stop and force yourself to THINK … When we allow ourselves this luxury, there is room for judgment to give way to empathy and unity.
