Have you ever found yourself teetering on the very stepping stones Dale Carnegie is alluding to in today’s quote? I just checked and sure enough, discouragement is securely under my left foot, while failure is awaiting the small leap forward I will soon be making with my right. It has been the ongoing technical issues that are dogging my website that have landed me here stepping so gingerly from stone to stone, and although the issue is personal to me, my feelings of discouragement and failure are the typical universal responses that many have to such predicaments.
So yes, I do have a technical mess going on right now, but I am quite certain I am not the only one balancing on these precarious little rocks….We all get here… if not today, stay tuned, the day will come.
It’s so important to remember not to curse these stepping stones… their purpose is not to stop us- their purpose is to support us and draw us forward- forward toward what will emerge from what may look like a mess today.
Today’s messes are sometimes tomorrow’s miracles… we just have to keep stepping forward to find out.
