You are a Soul

‘You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.’

I think that for most of us life eventually brings us to that fork in the road that forces us to either adopt the philosophy behind today’s quote, or abandon it. I  was reminded of this recently when I spent the afternoon with a young woman who is in the throes of trying to understand the pain in her life.  When describing her anguish she looked at me and said, ‘It has left me nowhere to turn but toward the spiritual, there’s nothing else left.’  She said it as if she had been defeated, but I knew better. Pain had just led her to that fork in the road and made her choose.  I trust implicitly that now that she has chosen, she will find her way home.

  1. A friend I’m doing business with called me today to tell me he hasn’t forgotten me. He hadn’t been on his computer for 5 days because his wife is dying for the 4th time. He was in the process of relocating her. He told me that he hadn’t even called the family yet but wanted me to know. I could tell he was in tears on the other end. I feel so helpless because I don’t know what to say except I’m sorry, but appreciate for letting me know. I also told him that I understood because I knew he was having problems on the family end. I just freeze when it comes to me saying anything, but yet I’m a very emotional person.
