I spent the day with a dear friend yesterday and this quote reminds me of her. She lost her much beloved spouse in a tragic accident a few short months ago. They shared a beautiful life together, and it was so easy for her to walk through this world with an open heart.
Today, she is different- without her beloved at her side there are ten tears for every smile… but she saves the tears for her pillow, and brings her smile and her open heart with her into the world every single day. It’s amazing to behold because I know the depths of her sorrow, yet she sets it aside and shares her beautiful self with those around her just as she always has.
