We don’t drown by falling in the water. We drown by staying there.
This is such a great reminder that every moment is a chance for change, and that growth requires effort.
When we make a mistake (fall in the water) the best thing we can do is own it and then start dog paddling for shore. Sure we may cough up some water, and it may take a bit to get our land legs back… but this is why we are here. To grow…to learn…. And to let our experiences (mistakes and all) mold us into better, kinder, and more compassionate people.
Those who let pride keep them anchored in the deep waters of their mistakes, they are the ones who drown; and it is not because they fell in the water, it is because they chose to stay there.
