Come Forth

‘Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.’ William Wordsworth

Today’s photo is courtesy of a beautiful Magnolia tree that sits just outside of our bedroom window. It was planted there very purposefully because Magnolia trees symbolize perseverance and grace – two qualities one can never have too much of.

I have always loved this tree most for the way it looks right now, in early spring. The branches have been barren of any leaves or tender green shoots for months, yet out of nowhere come these huge beautiful blooms. Just looking at it reminds me of the fact that growth and beauty can spring forth when we least expect it.

It was not until I downloaded the pic to my computer for today’s graphic that I realized that the blooms on our tree had formed a heart….

Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.
